Wealth Management – Mortgage Manager II (Assistant Vice President)
Business Unit: Asset & Wealth Management
Location: Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig City
Work Setup: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Work From Home)
Shift: Night Shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday)

About the Role
Join a high-performing team dedicated to delivering an exceptional mortgage origination experience for Private Bank clients. As a Mortgage Manager II (Assistant Vice President), you will oversee end-to-end mortgage origination operations, manage complex loan pipelines, and lead a team of mortgage professionals to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and outstanding client service.
This leadership role requires extensive US Mortgage Operations experience, strong people management capabilities, and a proven track record in process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end mortgage origination operations from file intake through closing and funding.
Oversee pipeline management, prioritization, workload balancing, and issue escalation.
Review complex mortgage files involving non-traditional income, asset, and collateral structures.
Partner closely with underwriting, processing, closing, and mortgage solutions teams to ensure seamless loan execution.
Ensure compliance with mortgage regulations, internal policies, and operational controls.
Maintain audit readiness and quality assurance standards across all mortgage operations activities.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–10 mortgage professionals.
Drive performance management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.
Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
Develop and present operational metrics, status reports, and management updates.
Support senior leadership by providing operational oversight and management coverage when required.
Lead process improvement initiatives and operational transformation projects to enhance service delivery and productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve mortgage workflows and client experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
Minimum 10 years of US Mortgage Operations experience.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing operations teams.
Extensive experience managing end-to-end mortgage origination processes.
Strong people management and team development experience.
Proven experience handling complex mortgage files and escalations.
Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations, compliance requirements, and operational controls.
Experience managing operational pipelines and meeting service level commitments.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Experience using mortgage origination systems and operational reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Private Banking, Wealth Management, or High-Net-Worth client segments.
Experience with operational reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Experience working with technology teams to improve mortgage workflows and automation.
Project management experience supporting large-scale operational transformation initiatives.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and continuous improvement programs.
