About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Firewall Specialist to support network security initiatives, firewall migrations, and infrastructure projects within a dynamic enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in firewall technologies, routing and switching, network security operations, and project delivery.

This role requires hands-on experience in firewall policy management, network migration projects, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with enterprise network standards and security controls.

Key Responsibilities

Lead firewall application migration planning, execution, and implementation activities.
Configure, deploy, and manage firewall policies across enterprise environments.
Support network infrastructure migration projects involving firewalled applications and systems.
Analyze application traffic flows and implement secure network connectivity solutions.
Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned network delivery projects.
Perform firewall rule reviews, optimization, and compliance validation.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, security, and performance issues.
Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure all network implementations comply with organizational standards, policies, and security controls.
Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation plans.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide handover support to operations teams.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve network security, performance, and operational efficiency.
Participate in project planning, risk assessments, and change management activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Network Security, Firewall Administration, or a related role.
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls
- Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Cisco Routers and Switches
Experience managing firewall policies, rule creation, NAT, VPNs, and security controls.
Proven experience in firewall migration and network infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of routing, switching, and enterprise networking concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical certifications in Networking and Security technologies.
Certifications such as:
- CCNA
- CCNP
- NSE (Fortinet)
- Cisco Security Certifications
Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies.
Experience in large-scale enterprise or banking environments.
Exposure to network security governance and compliance standards.
