Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Apigee Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support API solutions using the Google Cloud Apigee platform. The role involves API proxy development, API security, troubleshooting, performance optimization, platform maintenance, and cloud-based API management.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Apigee Edge, API Gateway management, RESTful APIs, Node.js, JavaScript, CI/CD, and cloud platforms, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Apigee Edge Development & Support

Provide software design and development services for Apigee Edge.
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance API solutions and API proxies.
Develop patches, bug fixes, and new features as required.
Triage, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, customer issues, and feature requests.
Provide software engineering support and maintenance for the Apigee cloud platform.
Respond to product-related technical queries from internal teams.
Work toward reducing technical debt and improving platform quality.

Platform Operations & Maintenance

Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of platform data components.
Support components such as Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, and PostgreSQL.
Plan and execute periodic upgrades and updates to maintain platform stability and freshness.
Provide engineering-level support for Apigee Edge data components.
Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.

Cloud & Release Management

Manage and perform cloud product releases.
Upgrade and update platform components according to the defined release cadence.
Collaborate with release and provisioning teams to deploy platform updates.
Support development, operations, and maintenance activities for Monetization.
Provide knowledge transfer and support for auxiliary components such as Edge Microgateway and Extensions.

Apigee OPDK Support

Provide software engineering support and maintenance for Apigee Edge OPDK.
Troubleshoot and resolve OPDK customer issues in coordination with support teams.
Answer product-related technical questions.
Triage, prioritize, and resolve bugs, customer issues, and feature requests.
Design and develop patches, bug fixes, and required platform features.
Build tools and services to support platform requirements.
Provide PostgreSQL database tuning and technical support.
Manage and support OPDK product releases.
Support development, operations, and maintenance of the Monetization platform.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of professional IT experience with Apigee.
Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge and API Gateway management.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design.
Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
Understanding of API security protocols and access-control mechanisms.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience in API development, integration, troubleshooting, and support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must currently be located in the Philippines.
Candidates must already have the legal right to live and work in the Philippines.
Must be amenable to a daily onsite work setup in BGC, Taguig City.
Must be willing to work on a shifting schedule.
Candidates must not have an active or recent application with the hiring organization.
