Job Title: Accounts Payable Analyst (Japanese Language)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Work Mode: Onsite
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary Range: RM 12,000 – 13,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to support end-to-end Accounts Payable operations while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely processing of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong AP process knowledge, ERP experience, and proficiency in both English and Japanese for business communications.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, verify, sort, scan, and process Accounts Payable documents.
Process Purchase Order (PO), contract-based, and non-PO invoices, including prepayments and down payments.
Review supplier open items such as invoices, credit notes, and debit balances prior to payment execution.
Manage internal and external stakeholder queries and ensure timely resolution.
Investigate and reverse unsuccessful payments when required.
Perform supplier statement reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
Execute month-end closing activities, including purchasing accruals and reporting.
Prepare operational reports, KPI reports, and management reports as required.
Reconcile AP balance sheet accounts and clear aged outstanding items.
Support compliance reviews, statutory audits, and respond to audit requirements.
Troubleshoot AP process, workflow, automation, and system-related issues.
Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and system testing activities.
Support implementation of global and regional projects.
Provide process guidance and mentorship to team members and new joiners.
Ensure supplier and intercompany invoices are processed accurately and within defined KPIs.
Ensure timely supplier and intercompany payments according to agreed schedules.
Maintain process documentation in compliance with company policies, ICFR controls, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

Degree in Finance & Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent are an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, transactional accounting, or shared services operations.
Experience working in a performance-driven environment.
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP/Accounting systems.
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and financial controls.

Language Requirements

Proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking).
Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and suppliers in Japanese.
