Team Lead - Buyer

Location: Mumbai
Experience: 5–7 Years

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead - Buyer with 5–7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, particularly in Sourcing & Procurement. The role involves leading a team, managing client relationships, monitoring operational performance, handling escalations, and ensuring delivery of quality procurement services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, motivate, and develop the procurement team.
Monitor team performance, delivery, quality, and exceptions.
Conduct regular internal reviews with the team and leadership.
Identify potential operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
Manage day-to-day procurement activities and contract administration.
Ensure operational, functional, and business objectives are achieved as per contractual requirements.
Manage client relationships and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
Handle escalations and drive timely resolution.
Provide process training and support to team members.
Conduct employee assessments and effectively channelize workflow.
Enable solutions and drive process improvements and business results.
Support documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Skills & Experience

5–7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
Strong experience in Sourcing & Procurement.
Experience dealing with domestic and international suppliers/customers.
Experience in Supply Chain services across different business groups/functions.
Strong team handling and people management skills.
Good understanding of procurement operations and contract administration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and escalation-management abilities.
Good knowledge of MS Office.
Exposure to Oracle, SAP, or ERP Sourcing Modules is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in B.Com, BMS, BBA, MBA, or a related field. Educational qualifications may be flexible based on relevant experience.

Certifications

Supply Chain Management certifications/courses are preferred but optional.
