Payroll Lead

Location: Kolkata
Experience: 10–12 Years
Band: BPO 4/5
Salary: Up to ₹17 LPA

Role Summary

We are hiring a Payroll Lead with extensive ANZ payroll experience to manage end-to-end payroll operations, compliance, client governance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle HCM, Workday, payroll legislation, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end payroll operations including pre-payroll, payroll processing, and post-payroll activities.
Handle complex payroll calculations such as Gross-to-Net, Arrears, Retro Pay, Tax Adjustments, OTP, and termination payments.
Ensure compliance with ANZ payroll legislation, taxation requirements, and superannuation lodgements.
Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, year-end validations, and statutory reporting.
Monitor payroll SLAs, governance metrics, and service delivery performance.
Lead payroll transitions, Due Diligence (DD), Knowledge Transfer (KT), and ramp-up activities.
Manage payroll escalations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct client governance meetings and interact directly with onshore stakeholders.
Lead, coach, and develop payroll team members while driving productivity and utilization targets.
Collaborate with business support teams to achieve operational and business objectives.
Support process excellence initiatives, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement programs.

Required Skills

10–12 years of experience in ANZ Payroll Operations.
Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM (Mandatory), Workday, SAP, MYOB, and timekeeping tools.
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, payroll accounting, and compliance.
Experience managing payroll teams and client-facing operations.
Experience in process transitions, Due Diligence, and Knowledge Transfer activities.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any discipline.

Work Conditions

Work from Office (Kolkata).
Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment.
Flexible to work ANZ and US shifts, including night shifts.
Ability to work extended hours during payroll cycles and deadlines.
