Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Procurement and Vendor Master Lead to oversee transactional procurement and vendor management activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement operations, vendor management, SAP-based processes, stakeholder coordination, and team management while ensuring adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and operational excellence.
Key Skills
Experience in Transactional Procurement and Vendor Management.
Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong people management and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Validate purchase requisitions and convert approved requests into Purchase Orders (POs).
Generate and review standard reports using reporting tools.
Resolve procurement-related queries from requesters, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Follow up on approvals for Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
Manage PO confirmations and expediting activities.
Coordinate daily communication with buyers, requesters, and suppliers via email and phone.
Validate approvals, supporting documents, and checklists before PO dispatch.
Process PO amendments and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
Identify, investigate, and resolve operational exceptions.
Monitor workflow activities and escalate issues where necessary.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and turnaround time (TAT) are maintained in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Support team performance and drive process improvements.
Requirements
5–10 years of experience in Procurement Operations and Vendor Management.
Experience working with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
Strong reporting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience handling procurement workflows, PO processing, and vendor-related activities.
Prior people management or team leadership experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment.
