Role: Project Leader – Balance sheet reconciliation
Skill: Record To Report [Blackline]
Experience: 8 to 15 years [BPO4/5/6]
Location: Kolkata
Shift Timing: AU Business Hours (Overlap starting around 3:00 AM IST)

Education:
• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
• Non-technical graduation in finance & accounts stream - CA/MBA/M.Com/CA Inter Equivalent.
• Preferred CA/MBA/M.Com Equivalent.

Must Have:
• Expert in Blackline tool for performing reconciliation work.
• Dashboard Reporting
• Stakeholder Management

Good-to-Have:
• Month End Closing
• General Ledger
• RTR
• Process Improvement
• Preferred SAP & JDE, Oracle a plus (Working knowledge)

Responsibilities:
• Own and manage Balance sheet reconciliation upliftment across entire business.
• Act as the single point of accountability for managing project milestones, dashboard reporting.
• Be self starter and self driven to independently define plans, research and resolve with very minimal support & guidance from across different accounting functions as PTP, RTR, OTC.
• Define, manage, and govern SLAs, KPIs, and identify productivity opportunities.
• Monitor performance dashboards and lead weekly/monthly client governance reviews.
• Drive root-cause & perform research analysis for inception of open items and defining pointed action plan to resolve.
• Serve as the primary offshore interface for onshore finance leadership, controllers, and business partners.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and manage expectations proactively.
• Ensure strong documentation, backup coverage, and knowledge continuity.
• Ensure adherence to controls, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage delivery risk, control gaps, and compliance deviations proactively.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and drive automation, standardization, and digital transformation initiatives for performing reconciliation.
• Partner with transformation, IT, and automation teams (RPA, Ai, Blackline, workflow tools).
• Deliver productivity improvements, cost savings, and scalability enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification in Finance & Accounting
• 8–15 years of experience in Finance & Accounting shared services / BPO / GBS environments.
• At least 8 years of strong hands on experience in RTR, PTP & OTC domain
• Strong understanding of GAAP / IFRS, SOX, and global finance operations.
• Experience managing large improvement & upliftment projects
• 8 years strong Blackline reconciliation functionalities exposure with atleast 5 years at an Expert level
• ERP exposure of SAP & JDE preferred
• 10 years of excellent stakeholder management, communication, and escalation handling skills.
• Willingness to work with AU time zone overlap starting at ~3:00 AM IST.
• Experience in large-scale transitions or multi-client delivery
• Exposure to digital finance transformation programs
