Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payables – Premium Payable professional with expertise in insurance accounting and premium payment processing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in insurance accounting, commission processing, and accounts payable operations within the insurance industry. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet service level agreements (SLAs) in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process insurance premium payments accurately and within defined timelines.
Manage accounts payable transactions related to premiums, commissions, and broker payments.
Calculate and process producer commissions, broker payments, and bonus payouts.
Verify payment requests, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
Reconcile accounts and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related queries.
Execute transactions as per established guidelines, SLA targets, and quality standards.
Prepare reports and analyze payment data using MS Office tools.
Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance accounting procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4–6 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Insurance Accounting.
At least 2 years of insurance accounting experience in processing premium payments or commissions to sales individuals.
Good understanding of insurance products, sales processes, commission structures, producer payments, broker payments, and bonus calculations.
Working knowledge of insurance Agency Management Systems (AMS) such as Applied EPIC, BenefitPoint, AMS360, or similar platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work in US Shift (CST Hours).
Preferred Skills
Experience in insurance brokerage or agency operations.
Knowledge of premium payable and insurance accounting processes.
Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment while meeting SLA and quality standards.
