Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior GCP Cloud Architect – SAP to lead and govern Application Managed Services (AMS) for SAP landscapes hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on steady-state operations, performance optimization, cost control, reliability improvement, automation, and continuous enhancement of SAP environments running on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

AMS Governance & Operations

Own architecture governance for SAP systems under AMS support.
Ensure SLA, SLO, and KPI compliance.
Provide L3/L4 support guidance for critical SAP incidents.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions.
Improve runbooks, SOPs, and operational standards.

SAP Landscape Management

Manage SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, and SAP BTP integrations.
Ensure landscape stability, availability, and performance.
Handle system refreshes, client copies, transport routes, and upgrades.
Support SAP kernel, database, and patch maintenance.

GCP Cloud Operations & Optimization

Manage Compute Engine resources, autoscaling, and VM optimization.
Design storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
Administer VPCs, load balancing, IAM, and cloud networking.
Monitor infrastructure using Cloud Operations Suite.
Drive FinOps initiatives and cloud cost optimization.

Performance & Reliability Engineering

Optimize SAP HANA performance (CPU, memory, I/O).
Manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness.
Govern backup, restore, and business continuity planning.

Incident, Change & Problem Management

Align with ITIL-based ITSM processes.
Lead Major Incident Management activities.
Drive problem management and recurring issue elimination.
Review and approve SAP-related infrastructure changes.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

Automate operational activities using Terraform, Python, or Shell scripting.
Implement monitoring enhancements and self-healing mechanisms.
Improve operational efficiency through automation and predictive analytics.

Security & Compliance

Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
Manage IAM, encryption, audit logging, and vulnerability management.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the architecture SPOC for AMS engagements.
Coordinate with SAP, cloud, security, and vendor teams.
Conduct regular service reviews and governance meetings.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience

10–15 years of overall IT experience.
5+ years of Cloud Architecture experience, preferably on GCP.
Strong SAP BASIS and SAP Architecture background within AMS environments.

SAP Expertise

SAP S/4HANA / ECC operational support experience.
SAP HANA administration and performance tuning.
Experience with ticket-driven AMS support models.

GCP Expertise

Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Storage, Backup solutions.
Cloud Monitoring & Logging.
HA/DR architecture implementation.

ITSM & AMS

Strong knowledge of ITIL processes.
Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ITSM platforms.

Automation

Terraform experience.
Python or Shell scripting knowledge.
CI/CD exposure is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

Google Professional Cloud Architect
SAP HANA / SAP BASIS Certifications
ITIL Foundation / Intermediate

Important Notes

Candidates should have stable employment history and should not be frequent job changers.
TOR (Transcript of Records) and Diploma are mandatory.
Candidates should not have any previous or recent application with TCS.
Must be willing to work in a Hybrid setup (3 days onsite per week in Parañaque City).
