About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to support portfolio governance, strategic planning, performance management, and reporting across IT Operations and Foundation teams.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives on transforming complex data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Product Leaders, Epic Owners, and Executive Stakeholders to improve portfolio transparency, strengthen governance processes, and support data-driven decision-making.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO), Power BI, portfolio analytics, reporting, and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Governance & Planning

Support portfolio governance and performance management activities across IT initiatives.

Assist with portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource capacity reviews.

Maintain portfolio quality and ensure compliance with portfolio management standards and policies.

Support Strategic Portfolio Reviews and governance meetings.

Coordinate portfolio sync sessions and facilitate reporting activities.

Provide analytical insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.

Analytics, Data Management & Reporting

Analyze portfolio, delivery, operational, and financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.

Ensure portfolio initiatives and epics comply with Azure DevOps standards and enterprise performance requirements.

Build, maintain, and validate datasets used for portfolio reporting and analytics.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, executive reports, and performance metrics.

Monitor portfolio health through key performance indicators and data-driven insights.

Perform data quality assessments and reconcile inconsistencies across systems.

Track dependencies, risks, and delivery performance across initiatives.

Provide actionable recommendations based on portfolio performance data.

Stakeholder Engagement & Data Enablement

Partner with Epic Owners and Product Teams to ensure initiatives are strategically aligned and progressing according to plan.

Translate complex datasets into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Product Leaders, and EPMO teams to improve portfolio visibility and reporting effectiveness.

Support the adoption of reporting standards, governance processes, and data quality practices.

Provide guidance and training on reporting tools, portfolio metrics, and analytics best practices.

Support continuous improvements to reporting frameworks, dashboards, and portfolio management processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, project governance, or data/analytics-focused roles

Strong hands-on experience with:

• 5years+ Azure DevOps (ADO)

• With experience in Power BI (data modeling, measures, dashboards)

• Proven ability to analyze large datasets and convert data into meaningful business insights

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, cross functional environment

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with data modeling, and performance measurement frameworks

• Working knowledge of SQL, advanced Excel, or similar data analysis tools

• Familiarity with financial or capacity data within IT portfolios

• Experience supporting executive or senior leadership reporting

• Not a job hopper
