The US Registered Nurse (USRN) Trainer is responsible for the effective delivery and administration of clinical training programs for new and tenured nursing staff within the organization. This role ensures that all training content is aligned with client requirements, organizational standards, and U.S. healthcare regulations. The USRN Trainer plays a key role in developing clinical competency, ensuring training quality, and supporting operational readiness across assigned programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Training Delivery
Conduct New Hire Training (NHT) sessions for USRN roles across various clinical programs (e.g., Utilization Management, Case Management, Clinical Appeals, Triage, Claims Review).
Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid training sessions using structured methodologies and adult learning principles.
Ensure that all trainees meet clinical competency, documentation quality, and compliance standards prior to deployment to operations.
B. Curriculum and Content Development
Develop, review, and update training modules, assessments, return demonstrations, case simulations, and reference materials.
Ensure training content reflects current client guidelines, internal policies, U.S. healthcare protocols, and applicable regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Client Teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of clinical training programs.
C. Trainee Evaluation and Coaching
Conduct knowledge assessments, practical evaluations, and certification activities for trainees.
Document trainee performance and provide formal coaching, feedback, and developmental support.
Participate in transition-to-production support (e.g., nesting, shadowing, side-by-sides) to ensure successful deployment.
D. Compliance and Documentation
Maintain complete, accurate, and timely records of training attendance, evaluations, progress updates, and training reports.
Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality, compliance protocols, and internal documentation standards.
Prepare and submit training performance reports to Training Managers and other stakeholders as
required.
E. Continuous Improvement
Identify learning gaps, recommend interventions, and facilitate upskill and refresher training sessions.
Participate in training audits, client meetings, policy updates, and calibration sessions.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing instructional quality, training efficiency, and clinical accuracy.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Active and unrestricted U.S. Registered Nurse (USRN) license.
Minimum of 2–3 years clinical bedside experience (e.g., ER, ICU, Med-Surg, Telemetry).
Minimum of 1 year experience as a USRN Trainer in a BPO or U.S. Healthcare account (e.g., UM, CM, Triage, Appeals, Claims)
Knowledge of MCG/Milliman, InterQual, clinical guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and U.S. medical terminology.
Previous experience in training, or clinical education
Familiarity with adult learning principles, curriculum design, or training methodologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in English communication (oral and written).
Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work onsite, remote, or in hybrid training environments as required.
• Preferably with experience in instructional design or Learning & Development is a plus.
