Job Description :
We are hiring a Global Trade Compliance Counsel / Trade Compliance Lawyer with 3–5+ years of legal experience focused on trade compliance law. The role will serve as a subject matter expert supporting global trade compliance activities across Americas, EMEA, and APAC. The Global Trade Compliance Counsel will support the company's compliance with international trade controls, export control laws, trade regulations, and internal compliance policies. This is an execution-focused legal role working under the direction of the Senior Trade Compliance Counsel, Americas Lead. The position will advise business and Legal stakeholders on transactional trade compliance matters, client contracts, trade-related reviews of services and offerings, compliance risks, internal controls, training, policies, and guidance materials.

Key Responsibilities :

Support the implementation and maintenance of global trade compliance and export control programs, policies, internal controls, and compliance initiatives across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
Provide practical legal guidance to business stakeholders and Legal teams on international trade laws, export controls, trade compliance risks, client contracts, and trade-related services and offerings.
Develop and deliver trade compliance training, awareness communications, policies, templates, tools, resources, and guidance materials in alignment with established global compliance frameworks.
Collaborate with Legal, business stakeholders, senior management, and external counsel to conduct trade compliance risk assessments, audits, investigations, and risk mitigation activities.
Support internal audits, investigations, government inquiries, monitoring activities, and escalation of trade/export compliance risks.

Required Skills :

Strong knowledge of international trade controls, export control laws, and global trade regulatory requirements, including U.S. export controls.
Practical experience in trade compliance legal advisory, compliance programs, policies, internal controls, risk assessments, and regulatory matters.
Strong legal research, analytical, writing, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical business recommendations and compliance guidance.
Strong judgment, prioritization, problem-solving, and ability to work effectively with Legal, Sales & Delivery, Contracting, Compliance, Corporate Functions, business stakeholders, and external counsel.

Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (JD) or comparable legal Master's degree.
Must be an admitted lawyer / bar-qualified attorney.
3–5+ years of experience specifically focused on trade compliance law; experience in general corporate or commercial law alone is not sufficient.
Demonstrated knowledge of international trade controls and export regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience with U.S. export controls is required.
Experience supporting compliance programs, including policy development, internal controls, training, government inquiries, contract review, risk assessments, internal audits, and investigations.
Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across regions and with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
Chinese language skills are an additional desirable qualification.

Important Notes :

This is an execution-focused legal counsel role working under the supervision and direction of the Senior Trade Compliance Counsel, Americas Lead.
Candidates should have specific trade compliance legal experience, rather than only general corporate/commercial legal experience.
Candidates who can complete a 30-day rendering period or are available to start ASAP are preferred.
Work setup is Onsite / Hybrid in Mandaluyong.
The role requires a shifting schedule.
