We are seeking a highly skilled Custom Software Engineer with strong expertise in IBM z/OS Systems Administration to support the development, optimization, and reliable operation of enterprise technology environments.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to critical technical decisions, troubleshoot complex system issues, and implement solutions that improve system performance, stability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.

- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure effective team performance and project delivery.

- Participate in key technical and operational decisions across multiple teams.

- Diagnose and provide solutions to complex technical issues.

- Monitor system and project performance to ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines.

- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems to support seamless operations.

- Implement industry best practices in software development and systems administration.

- Contribute to process improvements that enhance system efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical development within the team.

- Support the delivery of scalable and high-performing technology solutions.

Required Technical Skills

Must-Have:

- Expert proficiency in IBM z/OS Systems Administration

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IBM z/OS Systems Administration

- Strong knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization

- Experience with mainframe programming languages such as COBOL and JCL

- Familiarity with database management systems and data storage solutions

- Knowledge of security protocols and systems administration best practices

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

- Ability to work effectively across multiple technical teams
