Malware Engineer Specialist / Team Lead – CL 9

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Malware Engineer Specialist / Team Lead with strong expertise in malware analysis, reverse engineering, incident response, and threat hunting. The role will be responsible for analyzing malicious software, identifying threat behaviors, developing detection capabilities, and providing technical guidance to the cybersecurity team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform static and dynamic malware analysis and reverse engineering.
Analyze malware behavior, attack techniques, and threat actor methodologies.
Conduct malware-related incident response investigations.
Develop actionable threat intelligence, IOCs, signatures, and detection rules.
Work closely with SOC, DFIR, and Threat Intelligence teams.
Analyze Windows and Linux systems and operating system internals.
Support threat hunting and improve cybersecurity detection and response capabilities.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing to team members.
Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity defenses.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Malware Analysis, Malware Engineering, or Reverse Engineering.
Strong understanding of malware behavior and attack techniques.
Good knowledge of Windows/Linux internals and operating systems.
Hands-on experience with tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, x64dbg, OllyDbg, or malware sandbox environments.
Understanding of networking, cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and incident response.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly.
Prior experience in providing technical guidance or mentoring is preferred.

Work Requirements

Willing to work onsite daily at Uptown BGC, Taguig.
Amenable to shifting schedules.
