Senior Software Tester / Senior QA Engineer (Mobile & API Testing)

Location: Petaling Jaya / Subang Jaya, Malaysia
Work Setup: Onsite
Work Schedule: Regular Day Shift (No Shift Work)
Salary: RM 6,000 – RM 6,500/month
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Tester / Senior QA Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products and applications. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in mobile application testing, API testing, backend testing, and software quality assurance who enjoy working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Users, and external vendors to ensure new features and enhancements are delivered with the highest quality while supporting the organization's digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new applications and product enhancements.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Conduct mobile application testing across multiple devices and platforms.
Perform backend and API testing using tools such as Postman or similar API testing platforms.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through to resolution.
Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Business Teams, System Providers, and Vendors throughout the software development lifecycle.
Prepare and communicate test results, defect reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Support the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance on testing best practices and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Mandatory

5–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) or Software Testing.
Proven experience in:
- Test Planning
- Test Case Design
- Defect Management
- Test Execution
- Test Reporting
Hands-on Mobile Application Testing experience.
Strong Backend/API Testing experience, including REST API validation using Postman or similar tools.
Experience with scripting or programming for testing purposes.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall development environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with Test Automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
Knowledge of test automation framework development and maintenance.
Experience with version control and DevOps practices.
